Finally!
Re: Finally!
Ok, here's a question. I took a GSAK 101 course in DC taught by Dave (rufnredy). He uses a dropbox tool to back up his GSAK so the most updated version is always available. I've tried it but must not have things set up right. Has anyone used these two tools together? I'd rather not lug my laptop to the lake house since there's already a computer there but would like to not rely on a thumb drive to move my backups.
Re: Finally!
Joyce, I am wondering if he set up a macro to allow a link directly to his dropbox account. I would be interested in that too. Perhaps you can contact Dave and he can share it with us. Maybe Steve the GSAK man can answer this.. In any case, I would like to know what he does to make it work becuase there is NO macro on GSAK.net that uses dropbox.

Re: Finally!
Joyce,
I haven't used Dropbox but it shouldn't be that hard. Once you've installed and set up Dropbox, it monitors a directory on you harddrive. You just need to set you GSAK backup and restore location to that directory and when you back up, it should put everything there. When you go to your other PC and have it set up to monitor a directory, the files you saved on the one computer should be available on the other. You just restore from that directory.
There are several macros that allow you to backup your datafiles to a specified directory. You can use that to backup on demand. The restore process would be the same either way.
