Missing Bugs

We travel to the southwest part of Missouri every few weeks, so I thought I would take travel bugs along. I have looked in a few caches around here that are supposed to have TBs in them, but have not found one yet. Is this a very common problem? It seems with all of the caches I have looked at I would have found one. Maybe all of the cache owners need to do inventory and clear out the bugs that aren't there.

I have not seen this alot, I'd say, 2-3 times at most, but I agree with your thoughts on owners doing inventory every now and then...

Especially, if someone logs the trackable missing... It is pretty disappointing to go to cache after reading its profile and expecting to to have a trackable and coming up empty...

I was gonna say go here to get some good travel bugs to take southwest: GC18XAN but it seems even some of those have disappeared.

We don't have any caches but have 6 TBs in circulation. Of those six, only three have moved in the last 6 months. That's not a great track record!

I know there are several TB hotels in the area ... but I am not sure how well stocked any of them are.
